Notes for the festive season
Another hilarious 'ladies who chat' session this morning, featuring one woman's adventures with her carbon monoxide alarm and her dachshund pooping on the bus.
Afterwards I was briefly diverted by the shiny, when I found an interesting collection of Christmas tree ornaments. Fish I can understand—they glitter well and even have a Christian association—and I bought one of the sea-urchin-esque baubles, but lobsters? Blue sequinned crabs? (I guess I did recently purchase a glass octopus so perhaps I should not cavil.) There were the usual reindeer and robins, but also owls, foxes and red squirrels. And of course nothing announces that Christmas is nigh like a bejewelled snail, amirite?

I have some *adorable* UNICEF cards I am longing to send to good homes, and some of you might instead receive a home-made card. Let me know if you'd particularly like a religious one.
