There's a wonderful slideshow here of iconic hats of all kinds. I adore the Metropolis one, and Audrey Hepburn's fantastic My Fair Lady concoction, and several others. There's even a rather pretty Timberlake in a quite reasonable hat. And eighteenth-century ship hats. I want one of those! I would wear it to Sainsburys.

There isn't a Jayne hat, though. :-(

Yes! The metropolis headdress is freaking gorgeous. Hats all the time! I love them! I love hat boxes too!! I would collect them if I was rich and had no sense lol.

We should all wear hats more often. Although from your comment to rikes it looks as though you are already doing your bit!
