Murder: part five - Sinister figures in the shadows

I had forgotten quite how complicated this was! More pics again.

The Evidence in the Office
(investigation into Sir Alfred's office at Mega, Inc)

(a) A tattered letter dated some eighteen months previously, which when transcribed reads as follows:
Dear Uncle
I am sorry to report that I will not be accompanying the Tiddlywinks Team on its annual excursion to Oxford this year. It seems that integrity and fair play are no longer respected, and I was forced to cede my place to the detestable H Goode, who tiddled when he should have winked, but managed by some sleight of hand to conceal this proceeding from the judges. To think that a person of such sullied morals should be chosen to represent the University!
It is particularly disappointing as I had hoped to observe for myself the Snell collection at the Bodleian Library, and witness in person the extraordinary anomaly which you brought to my attention in your last communication. Two hours and fifty-seven minutes from Peasgrave to Wittingford in 1923, and only two hours and forty-nine minutes when the Clitwick tunnel was opened three years later! Quite remarkable.
I hope you remain in good health.
Yours in disappointment,
Norman

(b) A note in Sir Alfred's handwriting, with a reply paperclipped to it (the paperclip has been removed for your convenience)

Evidence from elsewhere on the premises of Megalomania, Inc

(a) the ladies' cloakroom on the fourth floor

A very large and very distinctive handbag containing no purse or identifying cards, but a variety of feminine fripperies such as lipstick, small mirror compact, tissues, and, most importantly, a book in a brown paper cover.
The title page of the book is The Terrorist’s Handbook. It is in code, but the chapters (or some of them) have been translated and written down in green biro
Chapter headings are:
1 Know Your Cause
2 Guns and their Operation
3 Elementary Bom-Making
4 How to Knit a Balaclava
5 37 Dangerous Things to Do with a Milk Bottle -
6 Electricals: simple home appliances rewired for lethal effect
.....and so forth
Inserted into the book very near the beginning is a note, the text of which is as follows:
Darling
Thanks for the money. I bought a new set of detonators for the Cause. Hope the book will be useful now you are a full Member. You’ll be sent details of your Initiation soon. I smother you with ardent kisses, Terry O’Wrist.

Also packed into the handbag is a gun, which has been fired.

Sid Sneer's Desk
A wallet, containing various credit cards in the name of S A Groat

So, are you gathering enough evidence to be able to piece together the case here? Or are you picking up a fine collection of red herrings? Who among these people has a motive strong enough for murder?

The final pieces of evidence will be laid before you tomorrow. And then - who will be able to solve the mystery of murder at Mega, Inc?
