While searching through my journal the other day I came upon a not-quite-meme, and decided to have another go.

I think it works like this: choose ten titles from your fic, and invite readers to guess what the story is about.

I've divided them by fandom, in case it makes a difference...

Obviously, the popslash ones are part of a series.

A Little Bit Extra. In which Justin falls in love with Chris, however, as Justin is young at the time he can't actually express that verbally so goes all out in terms of attracting Chris visually. He embraces the cornrows, buys many shiny clothes and struts like a peacock.

Fettered. In which Chris sees Justin as nothing but a playmate and little brother. Mainly because sexually, he's in a relationship with JC. Both of them indulging in and embracing their kinky side. JC likes chains, therefore the title. As all this goes on Justin mopes and bedazzles his jackets while crying manly tears.


A Tale of Torment and Sweet Revenge -- Heartbroken, Justin cries on his momma's lap. Lynn pats his head and channels her inner momma bear as she hatches a plot to break up JC and Chris.

She wonders if a hitman is going too far.

An Empty Cardboard box -- Realising he needs more help, Justin confides in Lance, who thinks for a while and then states Justin needs to up his game. For example, by presenting himself to Chris inside a huge empty box. Like some kind of living gift. Obviously, Justin needs to be naked while doing so.

Justin agrees. Lance grins with all his shark-like teeth showing.

Cocktail Party -- Joey is now part of this plan and states he's going to throw a party, something refined and elegant, not Joey like at all. Of course, this party won't actually happen. It's an excuse for a huge box to arrive at Chris' house, and for Justin to spring out of it, singing and displaying his amazing body.

Joey agrees the plan can't fail.


The Story of James Lance, who Told Lies, and Came to a Sticky End -- Lance keeps telling everyone that party will be amazing and that adult cocktail parties are what all the happening people are arranging. He even tells JC he's invited the BSB and that Howie is bringing his famous dip. JC is thrilled, he loves dip, especially smeared on his body.

Howie does not bring his dip.
The box containing Justin isn't delivered.
Lance starts to worry and goes out to search for him.

Who's Your Daddy. Like all good fic, the series jumps ahead years where we see Justin is pregnant and living with Chris and JC. In the garage is a very battered box complete with scratch marks inside and one lonely torn out curl.

And that's what I think those stories are about.

I love this game! The fact that I'm so bad at it only makes it more fun!

OK, so:

An Empty Cardboard Box -- this is clearly an old school bus fic in which Lance discovers the box of sex toys he hides under his bunk is unexpectedly empty. He interrogates each bandmate one by one about what might've happened to the box's contents...with sexy results?

Fettered -- It's a PWP. An extremely graphic one. I cannot think of any other possibility.

A Little Bit Extra -- JC redecorates his house while the other guys try to (tactfully) rein him in.

Cocktail Party -- Chris has a fancy, high-powered job that requires him to attend a lot of boring, stuffy cocktail parties; JC is a cater waiter/part time sommelier/struggling actor who ends up working a lot of boring, stuffy cocktail parties. They keep on bumping into each other...with sexy results? (I know you're a Trickyfish gal, but let me fantasize!)

A Tale of Torment and Sweet Revenge -- Ooh, I have absolutely no idea, but I kind of hope this one is about PIRATES.

ACTUALLY. Can I change one of my answers???

A Tale of Torment and Sweet Revenge -- In 1996, Joey eats the last ice cream sandwich out of the freezer, EVEN THOUGH JUSTIN HAD CLEARLY WRITTEN HIS INITIALS ON IT IN SHARPIE, and so Justin spends the next twenty years planning lurid, violent revenge. Then one day he and Joey get drunk and randomly hook up and it's so good Justin decides he has no choice but to renounce his vow. He tells this story at their wedding reception like it's a perfectly normal anecdote and everyone -- except for Joey, who's heard it before -- sits there like O.O.

And a bonus! Who's Your Daddy -- Chris and JC haven't been dating for very long and when one night, mid-coitus, Chris slaps JC's ass and asks, "who's your daddy?" JC unthinkingly blurts out, "I told you! I'm adopted! I don't know!" It really kills the mood.
