It's funny how these things turn out, sometimes - Lance was in calm, utterly self-possessed mode and JC was all nervous and fluffy when I wrote this - in fact, I had to get rid of lots of Ums and Wells (and a completely irrelevant diversion which they *would* follow, pesky boys) to make it readable!
