One down, five to go

First performance last night, and it went pretty well. The costumes are lovely, and it does look very nice - bit slow to get started, which I hope will right itself as they get used to having an audience. Anyway, people had a good evening, which was gratifying. Someone even recognised me from the programme - I was waitressing - which amused me. And someone else said, was I the Pen who writes in the newsletter, which I am.

So. A good start, but room for improvement.

Off to paint, now.

Hee. It's a bit... strange! Happened again tonight. Most gratifyingly, the person took the trouble to come back to me at the end of the show, say how much he'd enjoyed it, and that he'd definitely be coming along to our open day, too.

My head is never going to fit my hats again...

Thanks! It was better this evening, livelier and a bit more confident - not being the first night helps, of course. And a responsive audience, too.

It's remarkable - I've been to all the rehearsals bar about two, I can probably recite the script off by heart, and I still enjoy watching the show.

Go Ms Director! Watching your babies soar (or at least prepare to soar) is so incredibly nerve-wracking - you get all the adrenaline build up of performing without the payoff so I'm glad you're being recognised!

Thanks! Well, I'm not actually performing, just watching with beady eye to see what little errors occur on the stage... but I figure that now they're in front of the audience, my job is basically done.

They - and I - get three days off now. Phew!

Well, I really, really love your icons, because they are not like all the icons people craft. They are witty and intelligent kind of icons with a bit of sophistication -so to speak-.
