pensnest: bright-eyed baby me (Lance DWTS)

Dear Gawd, what a marathon! I just (a) finished the programme for our imminent play (well, almost), and (b) watched DWTS on UK Gold. It's nice to have the chance to see all the dances, and indeed, to see Lance on a somewhat larger screen than is possible via my downloading. I like Warren and Kym a lot! It surprised me how many of the couples didn't seem to be having much fun together, but they were obviously getting on like a house on fire. Also of the good, Tom whatsisname is actually less irritating than Bruce Forsyth. (I realise this may seem weird to you USaians, but then, you haven't seen Bruce Forsyth.) Samantha, however, needs someone to write intelligent questions for her. And, perhaps, a pitchfork for when she's trying to deal with Chloris.

I was a bit surprised to find that it was this week's shows - I thought it'd be last week's, but I spose they had a mega-marathon which I failed to notice - yes, we got the competition immediately followed by the results. All that and really awful adverts too. Blimey.

My cat is sulking on the sofa, wearing a Barbie pink bandage on one front leg, and a plastic lampshade round her head. She had surgery yesterday, a little lump extracted from her neck, and her teeth cleaned. Expensive moggy. She was deeply, deeply unimpressed to be starved all day, and dove into her dish like a mad thing, so I quite expected to be cleaning up cat sick all evening, but no. And, she ate her antibiotics without the slightest complaint. All those 'how to pill your cat' stories, mine just gobbles hers. Little piggy.

After Lance & Lacey, Warren & Kim are my next favorite couple. Warren is amazingly light on his feet for such a big guy!

I've had both boy kittys & girl kittys. All of my girls take pills with no fuss, but the boys all fought tooth, fang & claw against them. Liquids were just the opposite. The boys all took liquids like champs and the girls twist & turn their heads and don't want to open their mouths for the eye-dropper-like thing. Time will tell with my new kitties as neither has needed medicines yet, at last nothing beyond their kitty shots.

I hope your cat recovers fast! :D

it's very stressing and sad to have a sick pet in the house. But for what I'm hearing it was good tha lump was taken out in time.

So anyway, I forgot to ask, did you compare Lance's profile with your daughter's?

*SNERRRRRRRRK*

Oh, poor Socks. But now I'm just sitting here picturing a small bomb on the couch, with a plastic lampshade projecting out of it at an angle. I think the lit fuse (sulking) is inside the shade, and when the bomb goes off it shall act as a megaphone.

My head, it is odd.

What's hilarious, though? Is when you put a Large Dog sized plastic lampshade on a 110-lb. Golden Labrador. He scarfed up anything that hit the floor, and being In Recovery did not change that behavior, so there was just this giant white cone vacuuming itself across the floor scarfing up spilled food, with a vague impression of blond dog shoulders above it, and a wagging tail behind it. We all completely expected hoovering sounds to emit from it, really.

Awww, poor Socks! First she's STARVED and then you put a weird and uncomfortable THING on her.

I've never had to give Lancecat any pills so I've got no idea how he would react. Sinbad used to eat his happily as long as you just gave them the very thinnest of coating of something yummy.

Poor kittie - here's to a speedy recovery!
