Snowflake Challenge Day 7 (a bit late)
This one's for Fannish wishes, or, things I wish for, or something like that.
Hmm, a Lance Bass calendar? He doesn't have to be nakedalthough that would be acceptable.
I'd love to have podfic of any of my stories. I like recording podfic, and obviously my own writing style fits me, but I can't help but feel my voice and accent aren't the right ones. Actually, I'd like more popslash in general to be podficced, because I love to have something to listen to as I knit, and there are *so* *many* brilliant stories I could listen to.
More desktop backgrounds—although specifically, there are a lot of
rikes' beautiful photos which I'd use… For popslash wallpapers, I spose I could get on this task myself, now that I think about it.
A more vibrant popslash community. Either
crack_sparkle_pop here on DW, or
popsoundboard on LJ, we could use some more group discussion. Maybe more challenges, because challenges and other-people's-prompts caused the majority of my stories to exist, and I'd love to have that feeling of mutual encouragement back.
Day 8 is 'talk about your own talent', and I don't feel particularly inclined to do that, so I'll skip that one.

Something along the lines of the beach shoot would go down well.

Any more thoughts on how to get more vibrant sparkle in the comms?

The odd thing is, I don't think popslash fandom was ever really about the communities, it was much more likely to take place in people's journals. But it seems logical to try and use the communities—it's thinking of subjects to discuss that will build actual conversations, not just "Poster says X, commenter says Y/N", that is so difficult. And so many conversations have been had already, a lot of people may just have nothing left to say about them.
Maybe I could contrive one of those voting things where we compare, say, two music videos and vote for our favourite. Hmm. Actually that might be amusing, if I don't post an actual poll but require people to comment with their reason for preferring one to the other. Maybe?
Random icon choice ftw!

Heh. Of the two people on my reading list doing the challenge, both skipped out on that one. :-)
