I've just signed up as an artist (as well as writer) for the next

dragonbigbang challenge (waves to

chalcopyrite). I vaguely remember posting a banner for the challenge a while back, but sadly, there doesn't seem to be a huge array of fandoms represented in the author signups, which is a pity. Because, really, who doesn't need more dragons? Though the insistence on the dragons being actual, physical dragons as opposed to metaphorical, figurative or, uh, some other kind, is probably a deterrent for the fandoms with more 'everyday' canons.

Oh well.

My sister and nephew came for a visit at the weekend, as Nephew was running in the English under-17s 400m. He didn't do particularly well this time, but it's his first year in the age group so with luck, he'll build up a good bit more muscle and next year will be a real contender. I took him to the gym on Sunday morning and he's got some impressive arm strength already, and his dad is very powerfully built, so he definitely has a chance.

We consoled him with a very large steak, and I brought the pair of them fairly up to date on Avengers movie canon, with 'Thor', 'Captain America:TFA', 'Avengers Assemble' and 'Captain America: TWS' over Saturday evening and Sunday. Which was fun.

Dragons rule!

Bandom should have more dragons, I feel.

Does this mean we're getting that Dragon Country sequel? All about Lance & Adam's cross-species passions and JC's trippy art? Because YES.

It does, provided I can find a plot to put the story in!

Dragons are awesome!

Though it's a little strange they're restricted to actual physical dragons.

I think a lot more fandoms might see a way in if the dragons could be not-actually-physical. It's a very Supernatural-heavy challenge, which means I don't get very far with most of the stories!
