What a beautiful day! Sky of clear blue, mild as can be. There is white blossom everywhere, and sometimes pink or the bright yellow of forsythia, and our next-door neighbour's garden (where we currently park) has snowdrops and miniature daffodils and primulas and crocuses and pink hellebores and some purple flowers I cannot identify and some big daffs too, and Spring is springing! This worries me a bit, as we don't seem to have had actual winter so far, so I'm sort of assuming that there will be severe frost and possibly snow in April or May. But for the moment, the world is pretty.

Yesterday the plumber had turned off the water supply (no loos!) so we went out, ate at the Belgian Monk, and I bought three polystyrene heads.

Tomorrow, we paint the kitchen ceiling.

It sounds lovely! (except the lack of facilities). Dare I ask what the heads are for?

There have been times when there's been snow in early April, and I know there's another Storm heading our way, but generally we're pretty mild over this end of the country. I'd be surprised if we get hard frosts now before November/December time.

The fact that 'head' is the naval term for a loo is causing me no end of mental confusion when reading this...

Your spring sounds so lovely! Hopefully it will stay that way too!

The lack of a real winter is worrying, but I really do hope spring sticks around. The sunshine and flowers are so pretty.

Sounds like things are coming along nicely at yours.
