Dragons and Christmas

Aha! fancake is doing something I'm actually interested in this time round. The theme is Dragons, which it should be because, as I have certainly said before, one cannot have too many dragons. Any popslash people who read fancake, you should be able to find a good number of stories to rec for this one. Happily for me, the rules for reccing are much like the rules for the Dragon Challenge I ran for five years—"AU, canon, fairytales, real dragons, toy dragons, dragons as metaphors... everything goes". I'm looking through the Dragon Challenge for recs, but there must be other popslash dragons, there *must* be.

MTYG assignments are here, and I'm good with mine, yay! It was hard work last year trying to love Brian—I have managed to love Brian before (see 'in porco, veritas') but after the US election it was a hell of a lot more difficult. But this year, I'm good. How are you - rejoicing in your assignment, or filled with woe?

Anyone wanting an MTYG beta, or Helpful Advice, is welcome to ask. And I'll offer the same service on the MTYG comms as well.

Ahaha, I thought of you when dragons won!

I am okay with my MTYG assignment. Totally doable, so here's hoping for a good writing experience for both of us.

Have you read the J2 and Kradam dragon fics? I cannot remember the title but I know the authors so if you haven't and are interested, I will chase it out.

That does not ring a bell, and definitely sounds like something I'd be interested in. If you find it, why not rec it on fancake?

Sadly, it isn't posted online as fic anymore (the author pulled it with the intention of filing off the serial numbers) but you can still get the complete fic as PDF, EPub or mobi here - I just checked the links and they're still good.

(It's called Queensguard, it even has a fanlore entry!)
