(no subject)

Would you believe it? My daughter got married, and I wasn't even there. In fact, I didn't even know about it until I read my email next morning...

Oh well.

You may be assured, however, Bun would not dare to deprive her beloved Mama of the opportunity to purchase a new Hat; this was an online wedding between her WoW avatar Lessa (a troll, I believe?) and, um, someone else. Presumably a fellow-troll. How distressing it is to know so little of one's virtual son-in-law.

Heh. I knew she'd got 'engaged' - my son told me.

I've seen one of these World of Warcraft weddings - or at least, a bit of one - as my husband 'attended' one a few months ago. They are all mad.

Oh, dear heaven, no... There are enough World of Warcraft addicts in this house. Happily, it holds no lure for me. Taurans and NightElves are not as pretty as sparkly dance boys, even if some of them do have very similar hip action!

My daughter met a nice young man in a chatroom in 1997. In 1998, they were "married" online. In 2005, I flew to Minneapolis to attend the formal wedding. I've decided that my son-in-law is worth the over-quota charges from my ISP back in 1997-98. :-)
