February Festival: Day three, real-world AU

When I started reading popslash I used to be disappointed in AUs, but I've grown to love them. Here are three of my favourites.

Beyond Reproach by lilysaid, a college setting with Lance as the leader of one of the Christian groups on campus and Chris as the wild, rebellious artist. And a sideline of JC/Justin being blind about one another in a quite different way. Meanwhile, Joey is awesome, and shaves his legs.

You've Go That Pornstar Flava by Natalie, a hysterical look at our boys in the porn business. Written for the [livejournal.com profile] bittybang challenge.

And A Hell of a Yarn by SarahQ, in which JC owns a yarn shop and AJ is the cool neighbour with the bad boy image, and yes.

Of my own, I think I must go with Show You The Shape Of My What?, my Full Monty crossover, not least because it has a TRAILER. I will never stop being filled with glee over this.

Oh I love Beyond Reproach. Reading that one reminded me of how much I loved From the path as well! And somehow that makes me want to reread that one fic I always seem to be looking for in which JC is really religious with strict and religious parents but cue Chris and....hmm think I'll go find that one now, heh.

I was planning on reccing A Hell of a Yarn, too! Great minds. (:

I'm not sure I've read either of the others, or your recs yesterday (not really a trickyfish girl), so I've got some fun times ahead of me.

Oh God, so was I! I even have the hastily scribbled laundry list of fics to prove it! :)

Thank you so much for reccing that porn story, because not only is the artwork AMAZING, and it's a great story, but within the story are links to stories I've loved and lost the links for.

And the yarn story? I love it to death.
