I did notice that (especially with CJ). It's always much easier to laugh at women being flaky because it makes them cute and manageable and not too much of a threat. So introduce incredibly competent, on-to-it, professional women in a way that emphasises their foibles and approachability.

It's incredibly annoying. And I feel bad for loving CJ for exactly those reasons. But I do. Luckily Sorkin does allow the guys to appear very stupid occasionally (ie: lighting fires in non-functioning fireplaces) and Ainsley gets to initially pound on Sam on TV.

Ah... the first three seasons of West Wing - some of my favourite teevee ever.
