I am a champion procrastinator, and today have two time-wasting opportunities to offer you.

Via MetaFilter, I discovered Colors.lol.

Its primary attraction may be the, hmm, inventive colour names, eg snail-paced soft pink, isotopic light periwinkle, multicoloured sepia (???), and merciful seafoam green. These are undoubtedly more fun than the standard paint descriptors.

They are set out in colour palettes of three at a time. Some of the three-colour combos are lovely, others hideous.

If you have nothing better to do, how about selecting a colour palette for:

a) your dream kitchen

b) your dream bedroom

c) your dream sitting room

d) your outfit to go to a Royal Garden Party

e) something else?

There are handy links supplied for each palette. I wonder what the choices say about us? Are the links you find for your 'ideal' close to what you actually have?

I'm going to put my answers in comments.

If you are looking for even more mindless entertainment, how about taking this personality quiz? It gives you your closest match to literary/fictional characters. I got Luna Lovegood which… yeah, actually, not bad. At least, in my present mood/state of mind, that seems reasonable. In another state of mind my answers would differ. Nextmost are Jake Sisko and Georgiana Darcy. I've forgotten most of DS9, but Georgiana does seem a reasonable match. Happy to see that Bill Rawls (The Wire) and Ervin Burrell (also The Wire) are in the bottom ten, along with a bunch of characters I don't recognise.

You get the option of answering some extra questions - they'll ask you which media you're familiar with, and then do some personality questions for some of the characters.

Any more dreamy, slightly dopey witches out there?

Oh, and when you answer, how appropriate can you make your userpic?

I've been looking for a high-cardio workout for Beast. When we do the workouts that raise my heart rate, his just doesn't go anywhere near as high, and he has a very quick recovery rate so he's not getting sustained high-cardio. I've suggested that he find a Manly Workout For Real Men and do that, but it's surprisingly difficult.

However, on my quest through YouTube I found A 10-Minute Boyband Dance Class! With Angsty Arms, and Looking Optimistically Into The Distance As The Lights Fade. Not enough of my boybands featured, but I can absolutely see AJ doing these moves. Popslashers, we should all do this. It can be like the Thriller dance.

And finally, April Fool's Day does appear mostly to have been cancelled this year (quite right too), but here's someone who was toilet papered and egged: https://twitter.com/tpostle311/status/1245472961676677122

You've seen the goats, I'm sure. If you haven't, you should know that Wales is now a Nanny state:

Such a beautiful day yesterday! I went up to the pharmacy and the sun was warm on my back. Blue sky, small trees in blossom, large trees beginning to bud leaves, lovely. I took some pictures. Click to embiggen.

Someone linked to a post of animal pictures… and I swear, #5 is Llance, #10 is Kevin (possibly a reference to Hair!Band!Kevin), and #11 is Robbie Williams. Anyone spot anybody else?

Speaking of pictures, there's a rather splendid Instagram here where roommates who love art and obviously have rather too much time on their hands are recreating classic art.

I managed a Zoom meeting with my knitting group last night (we even had a cake break), and one of them has a cat that looks very, very much like my own dear Princess Fluffykins. Not quite such a magnificent tail, apparently it thinned quite a bit when her owner had a kitten baby.

Finally, because in times like these we need more cat pictures, here are mine on their cushion on the library shelf. Sable feels safe, and Fluffy feels in charge. I think they like it that way.

Very flat, Norfolk.

We had to go to a supermarket in North Walsham today for reasons too boring to relate, and on the way back I found myself musing on English place names, and what feels right. Since I was nine years old I have basically lived in the south eastern quarter of England, and there are some common name constructions that are embedded in the landscape. They are probably embedded further away than I've lived, though the farthest parts of this island—Cornwall, Wales, Scotland—have different histories and undoubtedly also different naming conventions.
Musings cut to spare the boredom of those of you who do not care )
OK. Shower time now, as we managed to do our yoga routine this morning on the new mats.
