No more grey.
Oct. 5th, 2006 11:08 pmWell. Nearly bedtime, but it has been quite a good day. Firstly, I got a decent night's kip, which makes a big difference. It's so tedious to be incredibly tired and have the brain kick into overdrive as head hits pillow.
Monday... was a strange and unexpectedly exhausting day. My Boy is embarking on a Social Skills course, just him and three other AS boys, and on Monday the parents were brought together to... well, to share our experiences, it turned out. I obviously have it easy, is all I'm saying. Boy went to his first session on Tuesday afternoon. It all sounds rather woolly, this art and music therapy, but I shall try to restrain my cynicism until afterwards, and hope that he learns something useful from it.
Tuesday evening was rehearsal for
abishag's concert, the church is very pretty and I think we shall enjoy the concert. Managed, rather last-minute, to acquire a male singer to add to our quartet of females, which was nice. Contrast is good. And I got to meet
abishag at last! *waves* (thinks: must take books to charity shop)
Loafed all day yesterday, feeling incredibly tired. Did nothing of note, except to create a few icon challenge entries and post a radioactive boyband picture to
get_creative.
Today, however, I have done stuff. I walked into town - it rained - to perform a variety of chores, bought books (ostensibly for Himself's imminent birthday, haha) picked up my new reading glasses (my first pair of reading glasses, sigh, *mourns loss of youth*) and managed to get my hair cut and coloured instead of merely making an appointment for same. Go me. And then Boy and I went to the dentist, so I have an even-cleaner-than-usual smile. Kept it leashed, in case passers-by were dazzled.
And Bun is online again, so she's happy. Might have emailed her doting mama to let her know, though, grumble grumble. And, ahaha, apparently one of her flatmates has friended me. Read at your own risk, kiddo! There's nowt so strange as fannish folk.
