On my website, I have posted the essays I did when studying for and taking my English Lit A-Level ten years ago. Occasionally, I get a comment or email from someone, mostly asking how they cite me in the essay they're writing (about '1984' or 'Brave new World', by and large). It's quite nice.
Well. Yesterday, I received the following email.
Hi,
I'm searching about the personality of "Billy Prior" in the "the eye in the door";could you please give me some information about the personality of him in the novel?
Is he an intelligence agent in the story?
Is he a "homosexual" ?
I'm looking forward to seeing your email.

I replied with the suggestion that the sender could try reading the book.
Today, I have the following *two* emails:
unfortunately I couldn't get the book,because I live in Iran and I can't afford to buy it;moreover,most of the sites presenting the download of the book can't be shown,due to a filter perhaps made by the government.
Then,may I politely request you to take your valuable time to write some information on his personality and answer those questions to me please or any other better way you may know through which I can get informed.
To tell like it is,I'm doing a translation and to have a clear translation I need to have correct information about "Prior".

I'd love to read the book,but it' s not available for me.All I know about his personality is what I got on the net,but as a matter of fact the information is imperfect and contradictory.That 's why I emailed you when I saw your site.I also sought for the books: "How many miles to Babylon by Jennifer Johnson" &"In the company of eagles by Gan" ,but again I was turned down.
So,what would you recommend me to do in this case ?

I'm baffled. Apart from anything else, there's perhaps a sentence on my entire website which mentions Billy Prior... (and that sentence was written in the summer of 2003).
What are your thoughts?
