Something big must have happened on the motorway in the vicinity of here this morning, as our five-minute car trip to the gym took twenty-five minutes. I missed the first 15 of my Pilates class and decided to do some general gym stuff. Was very glad I had not decided to go swimming, when we got a strident alarm and had to evacuate the building. (The swimmers were supplied with foil blankets.) Don't know why.
My poor Beast is hobbling about clutching his butt. He seems to have tortured the top end of his hamstring, or something like it. And a small creature bit him in the night, so he is filled with woe.
I hauled the tomato plants onto the compost heap, there being no indication that the remaining (thousands of) tomatoes were ever going to ripen. Sigh. I have not yet succeeded in growing Really Nice Tomatoes. Next year, fewer plants, all Gardener'd Delight, and a bit more attention. Meanwhile, we have two more giant pumpkins burgeoning, yay!
