Oct. 6th, 2013 11:29 pmI have no idea why LJ should display a bunch of posts from 2005 on my friends list, but it did, which meant that I had the opportunity to re-read Lab!Sync, which is awesome and which those of you who have forgotten about it or not before encountered it should also read. Here.
I found myself wandering through YouTube and managed to find a kitten playing with a peacock. The peacock, having a brain the size of a pea, has no clue how to cope.
There's also a bouncing baby elephant who scampers about flapping her great frilly ears and is totally adorable.
My Beast continues to hobble about the house, although his hamstring problem has now changed location. He didn't do the Body Pump and Body Balance classes this morning, but I managed to get through them fairly well, and have had no energy for anything since! I am approaching the culmination of the sweater I have been knitting for what feels like for ever - two or three more rows and I can start on the collar. Gah. I need to do a nice, swift scarf or another pair of socks next. Off the needles and on to the feet, that's the ticket. Or neck, possibly.
I've been trying to train myself into wearing scarves, since I now have quite a fetching collection. Wore one on Saturday night to the Quiz down at the theatre. Which... could have been better. There was a round on MOUNTAINS. Seriously. Identify this mountain from a photo. Jesus. There was a great deal of quite loud muttering... We had a bonus round which required us to identify and locate all 50 states of the USA. I was quite peeved only to have got 34. I think there were a few in New England which I misplaced, and some of the boring ones in the middle probably got transposed.
