Nov. 1st, 2013 11:23 pmI now have a medal! I received my 25-year NODA medal at our AGM this evening. Never had a medal before.
Poor Beast is still crippled. His leg muscle doesn't want to get better, and actually gets *worse* overnight, which is not fair. He thinks his leg just won't relax, and having been tense all night long, makes him miserable when he gets up. :-(
Received MTYG assignment: good. Yes, okay, I can do that. Definitely. How's everyone else feeling?
Went to see "Philomena" today (on the grounds that Thor Strikes Back would be full of brats on half-term). I won't precisely say I enjoyed it, because it's too heartbreaking for that, but it was very good. Judi Dench is of course Judi Dench, but I was amazed how good Steve Coogan was—and since he co-scripted it and produced it, it would seem to be a project dear to his heart. If you can deal with a story of evil nuns, this is worth seeing.
Finally, a Dalek Princess, via Jim Hines. A Dalek princess!
