Aug. 23rd, 2017 11:40 pmWe've been socially Useful today. Collected a couple of Freecycled CD racks for FIL from the other side of the city. (Note: 'rush hour' in Norwich is a doddle. Back in Hemel we'd have had to wait ten minutes to get out of the end of the road.)
Loaded the car with a bunch of crap for the dump, then went off to the gym.
Fish and chips for lunch, then Freecycled a bunch of removal boxes to someone who's moving on Friday (!).
Went to the dump. Went to the carpet shop and brought home a couple of promising samples. Went out again to the local homeless shelter with a giant carton full of blankets and another containing sheets (many), pillowcases and towels, all of which have done a nice round trip to Australia and back. Went to Homebase for sundries.
In the evening, Freecycled more removal boxes (to the same person).

My niece is running at Bedford this weekend, and she and my sis are coming to visit. It has been a year since they saw the house. I think they may be quite surprised.

I never thought the phrase "A gazebo full of Nazis" would amuse me, and yet.
