Cat Report, and other stuff
Mar. 18th, 2018 10:11 pmI do seem to spend a great deal of my time at present in conversation (limited) with the cats. We did have bro-in-law visiting for a few days, he is a very quiet house guest although this time around he did come with some slightly awkward dietary requirements. But he brought plenty of supplies, and was no trouble.
Anyway, cats. I bought them a cat activity tray for the delivering of treats, and it seems to be quite a success. Both cats managed to extract treats from between tall spikes, and getting them out of long high-sided pathways is a doddle. Getting treats out of little bowls is much harder, but Fluffy figured it out a day or so ago, and today, Sable managed it too. They have also been receiving cat yogurt (which is apparently a Thing that is actually a Thing) and exercising their tongues. The only difficulty is that Fluffy is much quicker off the mark than Sable is, and therefore gets rather more than her fair share.
Yesterday, I sat knitting with Fluffy nestled next to my shins and, incredibly, Sable snuggled between them. Today I have again had both cats sitting on my legs - and consequently was unable to do anything useful, as they are so very soft and fluffy - and I even managed to brush Sable. !!!
Oh, it is nice to have lap cats, sometimes.

Gandalf The White is a snake with a collection of hats. Note: in one hat-free picture he is seen devouring a rat.
