Aug. 27th, 2019 10:57 pmWoe is me, for Shakesville rides no more. I'm a bit late in getting the news, because Melissa has been on hiatus for a while and I've only just ventured in to see whether she is blogging again… and she has decided it must end.
I've learned an enormous amount from Shakesville. I'm going to miss it.
If anyone has suggestions for a suitable substitute I can add to my regular reading list, I'd be glad of them.

Today I learned of the existence of a playwright by the name of Timberlake Wertenbaker. She is, apparently, one of the most influential of Britain's contemporary playwrights, and she has adapted Proust's A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu for the BBC. Timberlake Wertenbaker. Awesome name.
