I don't know if I'm just odd, but I quite like Christmas shopping. Although I do prefer shopping for people other than my menfolk, whose needs are few anddull not hard to accommodate. I could buy my daughter so many much more interesting things!
John Scalzi produces—well, facilitates—a long list of Interesting Things for Christmas every year, unfortunately not until December, so one really needs to look at the previous year's suggestions. I found my way to some Tardis earrings and some sloth hats which are adorable.
A Sable update: I have just had Sable snuggles! She decided to be a very brave kitty, and settled herself between my knees for the evening.
