You could probably edit to have Lans recognize Col as the painter if you wanted that point made, show Col's pride in the ship of his employer, etc. Maybe not even at their introduction, but at some point. It'd also show Lans' perceptiveness, a skill he's developed/ing as Chris' squire, heh. And just because I'm curious, isn't Mick Carter's full name actually Nikolas, with the eastern European spelling? Should he be Kol instead of Col? But then again, a few spelling changes have made the characters all the more a part of this universe, and increases the mystery of Bryn's first-mate's actual identity, so perhaps Col is truly best, heh.
