There are some very decrepit carrots in one of the veg boxes. Hmm.

5. What would you change about your living room?
New carpet! And I'd like to do something more intelligent and stylish with the book/DVD shelves.
6. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
Somewhere in between, right at the moment.
7. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
Actually, a jar, but only because we acquired them from FIL when he left the country. Plenty of fresh mushrooms in the fridge, though.

Wholemeal/multigrain.
9. What is on top of your refrigerator?
Some handsome tins in case of cake or biscuits needing to travel somewhere. Part-used pack of kitchen paper towels. Various clingfilm/aluminium foil packs. Four large water bottles.
10. What color is your sofa?
One is reddish brown leather, one is red cloth. Upstairs, one covered in a rather ugly orange fabric, which underneath that is pale pastel microstripes.
11. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
Don't have a shower curtain.
12. How many plants are in your home?
None.

Er, several. About eight 'display' candles and a bunch more in drawers.

There's a percolator, white with poppies, and a cafetiere which is glass. Don't see much of either of them.

Well, there are zones for - it's sort of - no, not really.

I think it's light blue. It's a wind-up. But it doesn't get much use.

I'm struggling to decide which of the drawers in the house is a 'junk drawer'. Lots of them might qualify.
21. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Glass, except when my breakfast orange juice glasses are both in the dishwasher.

This is such an American question. No.

Somewhat.

Not exactly, but there's the disco-esque display from the computer corner, and the clock radio lights the way to the bathroom very well.

White and pink

There's a mat. It doesn't say 'welcome' on it.

Oven shelves.

I expect it could use a wipe.

I'm not sure whether this is a yes, because there are drawers under the bed containing sleeping bags, toys, sundry little-used items of Himself's, and my underwear, or no, because there isn't room under the bed-frame for anything besides dust bunnies and the occasional stray pencil.
35. Chore you hate doing the most?
Cleaning windows? I dunno, I'm not into housework.
36. What retro items are in your home?
I'm not sure what counts as retro. We have some G-plan dining chairs which are still really comfortable, and a matching dining table (in the conservatory) and sideboard. We have the piano stool my uncle made and mother embroidered, which isn't far off being as old as I am, and a beautiful Chinese dinner service which *is* as old as I am.
37. Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
My computer is in the library/spare room; I also have a craft room (the conservatory).
38. If you have a yard, who mows it?
He does, and we call it a garden.

Oh, I expect so.

Six, plus a wall-long mirrored wardrobe in Bun's room.

No.

Hall/landing are off-white; lounge is orange, dining room white; kitchen white; our bedroom white wallpaper with pinkish design, this room the wallpaper has an apricot floral design, Bun's room is light blue and creamy yellow, Boy's room bright yellow and dark blue, bathrooms are blue/white and beige.

Hall/landing, main bedroom, this room, dining room.

No, it's glass.

No.

Home.

Not sure I have one.

Er… plum chutney made by Grandpa, piccalilli. We are out of dill pickles, though I very much like the Polish ones from the multi-ethnic supermarket in town.

Me, the four of us at my sister's wedding, niece, nephew. And there are a Whole Bunch of pics lining the stairs, including portraits of both brats, sister's wedding pics, me with my Bumps crew, Bun with Vincent Kartheiser, me with The Host, and both of us with half the Firefly crew.
50. What color is your favorite Bible?
I don't have a favourite Bible. (A favourite Bible?) The Bible I do have is, I think, dark blue.

Enough, certainly.

Yes, though we disposed of the turntable not long ago.

One.

Two lines, one of which has three handsets, the other, one.

Alas, no.

Er. Comfortable.

I prefer solid colours, but I get seduced by patterns.
58. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
The computers, I guess. If I could save something pretty it'd probably be the rug and piano stool made by my mother, and I'd mourn the Gorgon's Head and my two Kerry Darlington pictures.

Hmm. I could probably manage, but I'm not sure.
60. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
We set the central heating to 17 degrees. That'd be nice in the summer, too, if it could be achieved.
