February—some possibilities

pensnestI enjoyed doing the Snowflake Challenge earlier this month, and I wonder whether anyone might be interested in doing the post-a-day thing for February. Popslash preferred, but maybe you'll have a go at doing this for another fandom.
I like rec posts, so what I've done is to suggest a different rec theme for every day. And if you want to put more than one story into any of the categories, please do! Here's the list, so that you have time to think about it and don't end up with, Oh, drat, I wanted that fic for *this* category syndrome. The list is somewhat cribbed from a list I found, er, somewhere. Feel free to amend it for personal use if you want to.
You're aiming to rec a fic with...
1 Great opening
- no explanation necessary, this story starts off so strong that you just have to keep reading
2 Favourite pairing
- assuming you have a favourite, of course
3 Real world AU
- ie it's in the here and now but they're not popstars, they're… baseball players, students, bar staff, whatever
4 A great short fic
- something that doesn't need more than 500 words to be perfect
5 Formed or changed your perception of characters
6 Great dialogue
7 Crossover with another fandom you knew before you read the story
8 Unusual style
- a piece that's presented in an unexpected way
9 Threesome or moresome
- because why stop at one sparkly boy (or girl) when you can have more!
10 A great OC
- we have plenty of characters and supporting cast, but occasionally a writer will produce an original character who makes a big impression
11 Really hot sex
12 Rare pairing
- bonus points if you can hunt out a pairing that's only been done once!
13 Fantasy AU
- not necessarily swords-and-sorcerers, but something that's not real-world or contemporary; so it could be historical, futuristic, everyone's a goldfish, whatever you like
14 Wonderful kiss
15 Songfic
- with a broad definition of the term, eg something that takes its title from a song, or uses the song within the story, or is inspired by the lyrics
16 A story someone wrote specifically for you
17 Makes you laugh
- so many choices! So much joy!
18 Breaks your heart
- sometimes we cherish these stories even more
19 Series or collection
- an epic, a story with a sequel, a group of related vignettes—something that's best read in more than one piece
20 A pairing you never expected to enjoy
- and yet...
21 Real world with added weirdness
- based in canon, but with supernatural or inexplicable extras, eg the boys have superpowers, or there are vampires in the audience, or magic is real, that sort of thing
22 Something new
- something posted within the last twelve months. The pop newsletter should help you track most of these down.
23 Crossover with a previously unfamiliar fandom
- how did it feel, reading a story where you knew only half the canon? Did it make you seek out more of the new fandom? Why did you decide to read it?
24 Guilty pleasure
- maybe it's a story you know isn't really well written, but it pushes certain of your buttons very hard. Maybe it's a kink you think you're supposed to be ashamed of. Maybe it's something too weird for words.
25 Spawned an inside joke
26 Crack, and not ashamed of it
- unlike the 'real world with added weirdness', this story knows it's cracked, and revels in it!
27 Remix
- a remixed version of something (do link to the original, too), which may or may not come from the Remix challenge
28 It just makes you happy
29 Great ending
