Your mental image is not far wrong, indeed! The thing took place at a school this time, so there were stalls in the school hall and in the sports hall, and a couple of marquees out on the playing field (also sheep!). I did not actually assign kitten ratings, but I was most certainly petting the yarn! One of my inevitable purchases is 'sea silk'. It is very kittensome.
