pensnestI had a rather nice day in London yesterday. After my morning appointment I went off to John Lewis, who spectacularly failed to provide me with any glass paints. Ah well, online it is. Also, I'm less than impressed these days with their yarn collection, though it used to send me swooning. All Rowans and Noros and Louisa Hardings, all very nice in their way, but not *spectacular*.
Walked down to Covent Garden for a browse—there is a Moomin shop in the market! Then walked onward to the river, and along the Thames Path as far as the Tower (a goodly stroll), where I veered a smidgin northwards to meet up with the 9 Worlds Fanfic tribe (some of us, anyway) for a theoretical writing session in Starbucks (wrote maybe 100 words?) followed by a practical nattering session in a nearby pub. Most agreeable way to spend an evening.
I did pause, at Covent Garden, to visit the Les Néréides shop which has lured me into many purchases in the past. The frog+unicorn-in-tutus earrings came from there, and the yellow flowers with long dangling chains of flowers and ladybirds, and a couple of other lovely pairs besides. And now I have also Snow White and the Wicked Queen, because they were so cool I was helpless to resist. Ahem. I managed, nobly, not to buy a little pair with shiny stone and floral something, but that was mostly because I couldn't decide which pair was the prettiest.
