It is! When we moved here, six years ago, we got rid of quite a lot, but I cannot bring myself to prune the contents of my craft stash, which is of rather Grandpa-esque proportions. Dear me.
I have made decorative wreaths several times, at Christmas, though I generally cheat with either a base made of florist's foam or a wreath of twigs twisted into a suitable circle, through which I can attach bits of holly, ivy and whatever else comes to hand. This house is called The Hollies, because we have a mighty (and unpruned) hedge of it at the front, and there is also ivy *everywhere* so the materials are plentiful. Once in a while I make the wreath without greenery, though, just using Christmas tree decorations like strings of beads and bells.
