On Monday my Boy had an appointment with his doctor at 8.30am, followed by the first session of his course, starting at ten. Happily, the two venues are only six miles apart, and although these were six London miles, which take much longer than country miles, we made it on time.

Tuesday was a lotta fun (hah!) as we were having a furniture reshuffle, and I had hired two sturdy chaps to come and move (a) our TV downstairs, (b) our sofa bed upstairs, and (c) our comfy reclining sofa downstairs, to go with the telly. We'd spent Monday tidying a path from sitting room to (upstairs) library, removing pictures from walls, dismantling sofa, etc. The chaps managed their tasks in a mere twenty minutes, but after that came the reshuffling of Much Stuff. The several boxes that go with the television. The books upstairs, which were concealing sundry cables. The gubbins downstairs, which was concealing the new paths for sundry cables. Vast amounts of rubbish, destined for recycling/dump/charity shops. Several boxes had to be rewired into the television set-up. Dust bunnies had to be eliminated. Well, some of them, anyway.

By Tuesday evening I was knackered, but in consequence made the happy discovery that our local Chinese takeaway does incredibly efficient deliveries.

Wednesday was another trip to London for the Boy's second session of the week, and I was happily looking forward to lunch with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] ephemera, but I Failed Miserably both at London and at mobile phone, and managed somehow not to meet her. *weeps* Oh well. Next week.

Today I have been out in search of DVD shelving. At present the DVDs are still in the 'library', upstairs. But clearing those, hmm, 16 feet of shelf space might just mean that I can get the books into order. Tomorrow, a somewhat overdue visit to my Pa. Saturday, a somewhat overdue visit to Beast's dad. Both visits will be accomplished in the Prius we are test-driving. It is very chic, although having (a) no clutch, and (b) no handbrake, is Very Weird.

Somewhere in all this morass of unaccustomed activity I have been going through prospects for Camp Sparkle: The Remix. Please visit [livejournal.com profile] sparklyukfans if you are, or might be, interested in attending our Euro get-together next year! Visitors from other continents are welcome, as I think [livejournal.com profile] ninjetti75 will attest, indeed, there are many among you I'd love to meet!
