Alan Cumming is a jewel and a source of much joy. From his latest blog entry, in a q&a: Well I got to go to bed I have to work in the mornig. I so hope you aren't an English teacher.

After my week of hustle-to-get-stuff-done, I had an oddly deadline-free day today, which was nice. Of course, I *could* do something useful, or get ahead with other stories, but hey. I pootled about instead doing pointless stuff, like classifying stories. It turns out that most of my Dragon Challenge stories are "loose canon", although of the recent batch, seven are 'loose canon', two are 'very loose canon with crack' and one is an AU. Even if the canon basically boils down to "They're popstars", I'm quite surprised by the fact that I featured dragons, dwarves, dolphins, diamonds and demons in mostly 'canon' settings.

I did do a writing meme, one I'd done a few years back, but decided I wasn't saying anything particularly new and have deleted my answers. Meh.

I recently put all my Backstreet CDs onto my iTunes, and now Backstreet keep TALKING to me! Make them *stop*!!

Our phone isn't working. I'm mostly in favour of this, as if people cannot bug me with phone calls, they cannot get me to Do Stuff. However, I dare say it has its disadvantages. We can, as it happens, call out as there is a spare line right next to my computer, legacy of the time when Beast worked from home.

There was a far worse crisis this morning when NEITHER of our internet connections was working. The backup ADSL line was, of course, buggered along with the telephone. Happily, Virgin was not gone for long.

My eyes won't stay open, so I'd better go to bed.
