pensnest: cabled section of knitting in deep green variegated yarn (Knitting pride)
Ah, I love John Scalzi.

An awesome takedown of a dudebro who thinks 'feminist' is an insult. Also hilarious.

In other news, I finished my 'Metallurgy' shawlchen, and it is beautiful. Knitted, I must surely remind you, in 'baby camel and silk', so it was lovely to knit and is lovely to stroke.

Close-up of the border, which was a 44-line repeat—so even though it is only 27 stitches wide it took a lot of concentration and quite a long time.

This involved quite a lot of knitting and purling into the back of the stitch, but it is basically the reason why I decided to knit this particular pattern. It's so unusual and such a modern design.

Go me!
