Devon, glorious Devon, and stuff
Apr. 22nd, 2014 09:41 pmBeast and I went to stay with my sister in Devon over Easter, It is so beautiful down there at this time of year, and the weather was helpfully lovely. We assisted with the holiday cottage changeover on Friday, although I did have to keep pausing to admire the view from the cottages' little patios. The house and barns are on a hill, and look over a valley and up to fabulous hills on the far side. Gorgeous. On the Saturday, Adorable Nephew was running in a not-hugely-important athletics meeting in Plymouth, so we all went to watch him; the drive across Dartmoor was quite spectacular. Happily, the rain held off until we were on our way home again on Sunday. Oh, and my AN writes fanfic! *glee* Hmm. Perhaps I should point Adorable Niece in One Direction's, er, direction and hope for stories.
frausorge, thank you for the postcard!
Awesome meal in London yesterday, stunning food and great company and impeccable service. Was *stuffed* and very well satisfied.
Today I did my second good deed for the month, helping sort out some costume for an amateur and budgetless production of Ariadne Auf Naxos. Took more than two hours, what with ladders and stuff. Meh.
And I must just recommend to you all Dave Barry Learns Everything you Need to Know About Being a Husband From Reading 50 Shades of Grey, here. Heh.
