Dec. 9th, 2016 08:07 pmThank you to
turlough and
rikes for your Yul/Christmas post. My FIL was amazed at the quantity of stamps on the parcel from Sweden!
I have been looking through Metafilter, a constant source of Interesting Stuff. I mean, what about these teeny tiny mouse shops? And a feathered dinosaur's tail preserved in amber?
On a more practical note, someone has compiled a survey and comparison of menstrual cups, so if you've been thinking of acquiring one (a good idea!), take a look.
We had a singout last night at the railway station—singing outside is always difficult, and although we were within the building, a gigantic Victorian railway station is basically 'outside'. An audience did eventually accumulate, but they turned out to be mostly the people in the choir that was due to follow us. I'm not sure there is a lot of point gathering people to sing in places where nobody is even slightly interested in hearing them—we'd have been better off in the middle of town, as it was late-night shopping night. Afterwards, though, we went for our Chorus Christmas Dinner at Prezzo's, and had a most enjoyable evening.
Onward!
