More snow today. Took us an hour to get home from Sainsburys, which is ridiculous. Something very weird was happening with the traffic. It is an object lesson in the perils of procrastination, I really should have gone in the morning. Wonder if I am now ready for Christmas... probably not, but I doubt we'll starve to death even if we are snowed in.

When we got home, Bun had done the ironing! *maternal joy* I have obviously been whining to good effect about having stories to write. Got my MTYG story posted in good time. Now have to produce one in a fandom I haven't actually written in before, and only notions and about three conflicting tones of voice to work with. Hmm.

Oh, yes. In my other existence on Etiquette Hell I have fallen in love. Someone has a giant manatee mailbox. It is dressed in appropriate costumes for seasonal festivals. I feel my life cannot be complete, as I have no giant manatee mailbox.

There was a time when if I whined about having stories due, Ashley happily conferred with me and beta'd for me without complaint. Now she just tells me it's my own fault for signing up for MtYG challenges and I should just suck it up.

Hmm. I suspect the charm of being helpful - rewarding me with ironing or bribing me with muffins - will wear off. But for now, I shall bask!

Went downtown yesterday to have coffee with a friend, and was so glad I didn't have to try to even get *in* to any shops.

Did all my Christmas cleaning and decorating well in time as I knew I'd have to do all of mom's today. Hee.

Manatee mailbox????? Manatees are adorable, but WTF?
