This is a Cheeks word.
A couple of days ago I pootled into the handbag-and-sparklies shop that is closing down and doing a somewhat perfunctory "everything must go" sale—I mean, if you're closing down shouldn't you be offering a bit more of a deal than 'buy one, get one half price'? However. I found and purchased a brooch in the shape of a sparkly fountain pen, which is basically the expression of Me. Though it's a bit heavy as a brooch. Possibly I should put it on a chain and wear it as a pendant.
Radio silence for the last week or more has mostly been due to the vagaries of the audition process (which seemed interminable but has resulted in a splendid cast of principals) and a succession of annoyances sending me on a jolting ride from joy to fury every twenty minutes or so. However, last night's rehearsal was fun, I have figured out what I want my Major General's daughters to wear, and now have to get cracking on the setting as they'll be ready to start blocking at the beginning of next month. Yay, and yikes.
How's everyone doing with the Brave Author challenge? And, is anyone writing stories for February that aren't part of that challenge? I feel a yearning for more fic.
