pensnestA very pleasing birthday, thank you. It started with breakfast in bed, which is always welcome. And Beast gave me a couple of videos and a sparkly card with four kittens on it, one of which is wearing a tiara. The inescapable conclusion is that my Beast is awesome.
I then went off to Pots of Art to spend a day soothing my soul with painting - though as it turned out to be an inset day it wasn't quite as soothing as it might have been. George rang me yesterday to ask if I could do a commission, an obviously cool Mum wanted an Adam Ant mug for her son's 40th birthday. There's a blast from the past. Anyway, that was fun, and I added another one to my store of Pirates mugs, too. Beast came into town and we went to lunch at Wagamama's, which was very good (particularly the spicy pork ribs), then we, um, bought me another picture from the gallery, because I'd wandered in there a week or so ago and fallen in love with it, and, well, it was my birthday. *glee*
After I got home I finished the Miles book I was reading, and loafed. Most satisfactory, really.
