Thanks to [personal profile] puszysty, [livejournal.com profile] musiquedevie, [personal profile] saba1789, [personal profile] dine, [personal profile] frausorge, [personal profile] sperrywink, [personal profile] stellamira, [personal profile] letterboys, [personal profile] titch, [personal profile] rikes, and [personal profile] fleurrochard for the lovely bunch of cards. I have no idea which order they arrived in, but I am at least managing to corral them this year!

When the brats arrive (tomorrow), we can put up the Tree and other decoration, and probably go to The Hobbit, pt1.

And now I'm in that weird limbo between finishing my MTYG* story and Actual Christmas. I have a few tasks (like all those late Christmas cards to post), but… oh, it feels weird not to be frantically writing. I don't like it. (I didn't like it yesterday when I *was*, but that's different!)

One of the perennial frets is What To Call The Story. There seems to be a lot of creativity put into MTYG stories (says she, remembering her own first DWNOGA** effort, which was called 'Prize'. Very dull).

What are your favourite MTYG story titles? Scratch that, what are your favourite fanfic story titles? It doesn't matter if you like the story or not! What about your own titles—which are you most pleased with? Also, are there Rulez for good titles?

Note for bewildered newcomers:

*MTYG = Make The Yuletide Gay = the Popslash Secret Santa Challenge
** DWNOGA = Don We Now Our Gay Apparel = the previous Popslash Secret Santa Challenge

Glad the card arrived.

I always loved The Earl of Rothhampfordshire (Or whatever the brilliant mash-up is).

*g*

I got yours back today with the adress label torn off :-( so I'm afraid you won't get it until next week.

I'm terrible at remembering story titles. I can remember everything else about a story, writer and plot and pairing and setting, but I just can't seem to remember titles.

titles are *so hard* - I'm always impressed when people come up with ones that are really really right.

Me too! Something felt off all day today and I finally realized it was because I wasn't scribbling furiously onto a series of post-it notes like a woman possessed. I'm glad my story's done, but. I don't know! I think I might miss the panic!

As for favorite MtYG titles, I think 'It Starts With A Milkshake, Birds and Snakes, An Amtrak Train and Lance Bass Is Not Afraid' (by Snarkyllama) is a pretty awesome one. :)

My favourite title remains The M & G Thing. Simply because it was a working title that stuck, and makes me laugh when I think about it.

Good luck with all your prep.

Also, thank you for the parcel ♥

I haven't looked in the bag yet, but am tempted to do so.

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who freaks out about the title. A lot of times I finish the story early, and then stress about the title for two or three weeks.

I liked my own "Bone's Bar and Grill" simply because it had so many undertones to it. :)

I always thought nopseud's When You're Up To Your Ass In Alligators was an awesome story title.

I'm happy with my own if I feel they *fit* the story. Of course I do enjoy delighting myself by using titles with double meanings (even if I'm the only one who *gets* it LOL).

I am absolutely useless at titles. I can almost never remember them, and mine are always just something I end up tacking on after the writing is done, I'm getting ready to post and then I realize, crap, I have to come up with a title, haven't I?
