Jun. 13th, 2015 03:12 pmWatched the finale of Agents of SHIELD last night…
What I really can't figure out is why I watched this show. We both kept forgetting it was on, which probably means something. The only character I found engaging at all was Hunter (and Fitz, a little bit); the plot kept getting more and more obnoxiously convoluted until I couldn't be bothered to care what was happening; and at least half the acting was shallow and unconvincing. Not that the actors had much to work with.
I suppose I was watching for the sake of completeness in the Marvel Onscreen Canon, but eh.
I've been skipping posts about the end of the season on grounds of not wanting to see spoilers—are people enjoying this show? It seemed to me that it was deeply dull for about 2/3 of the first season then suddenly ramped up into excellent, and plunged back down to mediocrity for the entire second season.
Is there any reason to look forward to a third season (if there is to be one)?
