Jan. 20th, 2016 10:52 pmVia...I think Fanlore, I found my way to a rather sweet post on Tor.com called What’s the Best Holiday Gift You Can Give? Fanfiction!
How true that is. Starting in 2005, I have written 15 popslash SeSa stories. I know there were at least twelve happy recipients, though naturally the degrees of delight have varied. Only once has there been no response at all: the recipient of Wings Would Be Cool not only never sent any feedback, but didn’t write a story either. I don’t think she even remembered she had entered the challenge.
Nonetheless, I’ve generally had more success with DWNOGA/MTYG stories than with actual physical gifts given to people I know and love… It has been one of the regular delights of the Christmas season to receive happy feedback from readers of the SeSa challenge. I will miss it horribly when—inevitably, eventually—we stop.
kira_j appears to have left LJ—does anyone know why?
