In amidst all the pre-Christmas Stuff, Beast and I went to see the new Star Wars film on Monday.

The thing I liked most about it—I don't think this is a spoiler—is that I did not spend practically every scene thinking, why aren't there any women in this? Women at every level of both plot and society. It's just SO refreshing.

Agreed! Also not just white women, but women of all colors! It was lovely. (I need a Rose icon, ugh.)

Mind you, if ever Lupita Nyong'o was COMPLETELY WASTED.... I mean, why get one of the most beautiful women in the world and then not put her on the screen? Never mind, that's probably a different rant.

Also, Rose was *adorable*.

So true. Tho I did find myself thinking that actually, there really would be that many women by that stage, because the men had, a lot of them, gone off on dangerous missions, and died.
