Thanks for guessing! Everybody (correctly) thinks I have been within a few feet of Brent Spiner (at a convention, and also when I went to see him in '1776' on Broadway and got his autograph). The odd one out is a cunningly-chosen genre name, Peter Capaldi, whom I have not encountered.

I took my daughter to an Angel convention quite a few years ago, and we went through the autograph line so that she could present him with the pic she had had taken with him the year before. He was very charming. He growled with appreciation, and wrote 'We make a cute couple' on the pic when he signed. I was nowhere near as smitten as my Bun was, but I approve of that young man.

I have met Lance! I went to NYC to see him in 'Hairspray', except I didn't because the stagehands were on strike and the show was dark. But I accosted him outside the theatre where he was waiting to sign in, and acquired an autograph and a photo and a hug. (This icon is his half of the photo.)

Ah that's too bad about the show, but awesome you got to see him anyway!

It was a shame about the show, but it still managed to be a good long weekend. I went to see 'Altar Boys' with msktrnanny, met Glendaglamazon from LJ, and damn near froze to death on the top deck of a bus tour of Manhattan. And I got to hug Lance, so, yay! (Which I would not have done had I seen the show.)

A long while ago, my best friend and I went to see Goethe's Faust (in English) in Hammersmith. Simon Callow, naked again. Derek Jacobi was in the audience, a couple of rows in front of us. I didn't *meet* him, but I have been within a few feet of him!

I don't remember you ever talking about Babylon 5 so my guess is Jason Carter. My memory isn't very reliable though :-)

At the convention where I met nopseud, Jason Carter was the big-name guest, and he was merrily (people kept buying him beers) wandering along the corridors being nice to people. We had a brief chat and agreed that we were enjoying ourselves.

Plus, indeed, I was definitely a B5 fan, albeit not one who wrote fic about the show. That fateful convention was a "Blake's 7/Babylon 5" convention, and later turned into a general media con. I wish there were a B5 re-release on Blu-Ray, like the TNG one I am watching, but I don't think the show was shot in very good quality to start with. A pity.

I've been toying with the idea of buying the show on DVD but it's very expensive. Some day maybe.

PS Why don't I have any Babylon 5 icons?! It's just wrong!
