I thought that cat was acting suspiciously when she hurtled past us into the library in a very purposeful way. Yes, there is a mouse*, cowering in a corner where Sable cannot quite reach it.
And after I shared the whipped cream from my hot chocolate, too.

In other news, it hailed, snowed and sunned today. Quite disorienting.


* ETA: my heroic Beast captured the mouse in the dustpan and has put it outside. Pretty damn cold, but better than being eaten by a semi-competent cat!

It only got in because Sable brought it in, and I suspect her presence will deter it from trying to get into the warm tonight!

The cat refused to be petted goodnight! She was not impressed with the Humans for taking away her toy.

Fluffy was quite the killing machine, what with the rat and the squirrel as well as a selection of rodents, variously sized. Sable seems to bring them in alive, and not quite know what to do next....

Well, there's no certainty, but at least it was not eviscerated on my carpet!
