pensnest: bright-eyed baby me (Bodyswap Argh!)

My Adorable Niece had quite a busy day yesterday. Certainly wore me out! But she slept in this morning, and is happily pottering now, so I can post.

A while back I was reading one of the several rather good body-swap stories, and it occurred to me, what if instead, they....

So. Here's my body-swap story. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] northernveil and [livejournal.com profile] bun18 for their input and advice. I thought it was going to be short and silly, but it topsied on me and turned into the second-longest popslash story I've written. Point of View was quite a challenge to write, and I suspect it'll be quite a challenge to read, so do let me know whether you got through it. The feedback link leads to comments below.

I LOVE BODYSWAP STORIES MORE THAN ANYTHING OMG.

Also, hello, adorable. I especially love paranoid Justin in Chris' body, and I can't believe this did not include a graphic of the diva fit bar graph.

Fabulous! Yay.

This was *fun*! Poor Lance, being surrounded by band mates suddenly behaving even stranger than usual. Everyone trying to cope with and enjoying and taking advantage of being in each other's bodies. Wonderfully spot-on characterisations! And I loved the denouement. How everyone tried to act cool and then Justin swept in being all diva-ish and revealing all! And I of course adored the Trickyfish ending :-)

Them keeping it secret was a very good idea - I really liked the tension it produced in the story. I forgot to say how much I liked the way you handled Lance's confusion and slight suspicions. Okey the other guys were behaving strangely, but it *could* concievably be a practical joke they were perpetrating on him.

I don't think Lance's immediate assumption would be that they had swapped bodies

No, that's hardly what springs to mind if your friends are behaving strangely :-) Much more likely that they're trying to fool you in some way.

Did you see the fic with the proper title in place?

If the proper title is "Round Dance or Four Strangely Convoluted Days on the Path to Perfection", then yes I did.

I enjoyed that a lot. (And I really appreciated your cheat-sheet. I could keep track where there were only two together, but when four or five were interacting it got a bit complex.)

And TrickyFish, yay!

That was so much fun! I like the addition of the first section - balances things up nicely, and I want to say 'poor Lance' not so uch for being in the middle of all that madness, but for it being at all plausible that it *wasn't* random complete lunacy on behalf of the universe.
