Life being actually a bit busier than usual, I don't have much time for inspirational LJ entries. A round-up instead.

My parents visited briefly on Thursday, leaving in their wake the usual selection of books etc. (Oxfam bookshop, here I come. Um. Quite soon.) And it's university visits time for Boy. We thought we were going to Reading on Saturday, but rather late on Friday night he picked up his email and realised he was booked into an instructional day at Imperial College instead... so, change of plan, Beast took Boy to Imperial and I trundled down to Bristol *again* to fetch Bun. Who was a bit surprised to see me six hours early. It still being my Boy's Official Birthday on Saturday (17, omg), we went out for a Thai meal.

Coming up in the next fortnight: Bath, Nottingham, York, Surrey and UEA. Reading will have to wait until September. (That's, uh, Reading University, not, um, reading.)

Alas - next Monday! But if there's anything you can tell me about the place, I'd be glad to know - most particularly, if it's likely to suit a socially inept boy who wants to do Maths. (He actually has Asperger Syndrome, so the social ineptness is pretty much inbuilt.)

Heh. He's got some impressive armour there, hasn't he! Bun tells me the picture is deceptive as Lessa is really a lot taller than Thunderstruck.

Thanks re the icons - yes, most pleasing. I liked the Blue and Pink themed challenges, too - though it's difficult to vote on those, sometimes I find myself being enamoured of a particular photo... Anyway. I've been experimenting with different styles of late. Have you discovered awmpdotnet, with all kinds of resources and advice?
