What's the medication of choice when an American wakes up with the hangover from hell?

Usually Tylenol and lots of water.

I was going to agree with this comment, but now I'm stuck staring at your icon.

When I was younger, it would've been Alka-Seltzer (because it covered the headache and stomach issues). Assuming we're talking about sparkly boys, it would probably be just tylenol or advil (though Chris might still do the Alka-Seltzer bit, because he's not much younger than me).

I'm not sure if this works for everyone, but when I drank, I used to get up and take another shot of whatever I was drinking the night before.

My husband's hangover remedy of choice was tomato juice, tobasco sauce and a raw egg all blended together. I'm not sure how that worked for him, because just the thought of it made me sick, but it seemed to do the trick.

My hangover remedy of choice is grease, specifically in the form of Krystal burgers (which the boys are probably familiar with, they're all over the south) as big glass of water, and a big Coke. The other thing a lot of people I know do is two aspirin and a glass of water before bed.

(Krystal is a chain that serves little mini-burgers. They're tiny and very flat, and they come with mustard and onion only, even the cheese ones. You generally buy more than one - on a big hangover day, four krystals are not uncommon.)

For me, buckets of water and Vitamin C.

Last time I got drunk, I did indeed drink gallons of water and take vitamin C. I still slept horribly and had heartburn, but it worked. No hangover!
