Nov. 5th, 2006 08:33 pmI had a lovely purple bath today. I deserved it, too. After spending the morning gardening on Friday, I then shopped with Bun from 9am to 5pm (with, okay, a breakfast break and a mid-afternoon lunch break, but still). She acquired copious loot, because it is nice to buy clothes for someone tall and slender who looks good in *everything*, even though she is the most difficult person in the world to buy shoes for. Anyway, woz knackered this morning, and thigh muscles still protesting, hence nice purple (blackberry bath bomb) bath. And I used my new You Snap The Whip, which to my delight was like Ribena-scented woad. And who among you, dear friends list, cannot understand the pleasure of being swirled upon with Ribena-scented woad? Nobody, I feel sure. It was most agreeable.
My poor cat is hiding under the footstool. The night is rent with cacophonous fireworks.
Torchwood soon!

Date: 2006-11-05 09:19 pm (UTC)Poor kitty!! Lancecat has only survived one New Years Eve so far but he didn't so much as bat an eye at all the fireworks - in fact he snoozed through most of it. In fact he's so far proven to be singularly unafraid of everything and I fervently hope that he'll continue to be like that. Sinbad didn't really like fireworks but he wasn't too disturbed, just walked around a bit when it was at its worse. What he couldn't stand was when someone was drilling and when they renovated the bathrooms in the other end of the house he hid in the wardrobe for a week the poor dear.

Date: 2006-11-06 08:23 am (UTC)Poor Socks - she's not totally terrified, but there was a lot of loud banging very close by, last night. Saturday wasn't so bad as that was the official display in the village centre, which is a bit further away and which was doing more in the way of pretty lights and less in the way of loud noises.
My cat's real terror/hatred is reserved for plastic bags.
