Touchy-feely thoughts, ahem.

I just updated my website, and notice that I have written five (or, if you count the prologue and epilogue to 'Prone' as separate, six) fics which are, basically, masturbation with an observer. In addition, there's unobserved masturbation in Prone and The Little Dustbuster that Could, also, there is the observed kind in Prize, but I didn't count that on my list as in the story it is intended as foreplay rather than soloing.
What amuses me most is the requirement for the observer, which means that the whole thing can be written from the POV of somebody watching, rather than the person doing. I have nothing intelligent to say about this, but it struck me as mildly interesting.
Do you guys do the same thing?

Date: 2007-04-07 10:46 am (UTC)Yes, it makes it easier to write the 'show' from the point of the person seeing it. I have a nebulous feeling that this is all about putting 'me' into the story in the guise of one of the characters, but I'm not up to making myself clarify it.

Date: 2007-04-08 03:07 am (UTC)About putting yourself into the story, I think that's normal too, I mean, we're the writers, it's like we are the voyeurs themselves; whether we have a name in the tale or not, we're witnessing everything.
Now, to me working it from the point of view of the masturbator is a challenge, I don't have any recollections whatsoever of having done it before. Let's see if I can craft something this week. ^^
God, I love challenges ^^U

I have utterly corrupted my 'caress' icon now.

It's easier I guess.
Although it would be very interesting to write something from the POV from the one who's doing everything, knowing that there is someone watching, wouldn't it?
