Thanks, everyone, for your opinions on the Dragon Challenge. Looks as though I can go ahead and open signups on Monday, yay! We are in for a succession of treats, I hope. Now, if only JC's album could be released.
You know, it is nice to have one's daughter in the house, but really, it gets *expensive*! We went to see 'Wicked' and 'Jump' last week, and yesterday to 'Avenue Q' (thoroughly enjoyed it, the sex scenes were hilarious!). Which involves train fares - admittedly, when you can get four Travelcards for the price of two, that is not so bad - and, as it turns out, having dinner out as well. (She was peering over my shoulder a moment ago, and pointed out that I enjoyed it. Well, yes, to be sure.) Still, she goes back to Bristol tomorrow.
I spent the morning teaching about fifty ladies (in two shifts) to make cards using glass paints. They descended on my pile of papers and peel-offs with gannet-like voracity! However, there were some very nice things produced, and as usual I learned from them. I always pick up a couple of new ideas, assuming I remember them next time I sit down to Create. It's also quite satisfying persuading people who are 'not artistic' to create something they can be pleased with. Plus, they gave me a fee (as well as materials) which is to be donated to the Stroke Association, so I can feel noble.

Date: 2007-04-21 09:05 pm (UTC)Very clever stuff.
Dammit, the cat is sitting on me again. I think purring must have evolved as a manipulative device. It is impossible to push a purring cat off one's chest.
